The Cell Pint of Science 2024

The Cell invites playful construction, building, invention and customisation from its audience. Created in response to the research of Dr Lorenzo Di Michele's 'cell-like functions' and using the art of 'building' with molecules and strands of DNA to create an innovative synthetic cell. The Cell is a pot - a carrier, pod, vessel or capsule of other elements or ingredients. With magnetic tactile pieces that can modify it with additions or subtractions, exploring the play action of ‘piecing together’ with synthetic ingredients.
